3 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not great either...   April 19, 2006

I bought this camera originally in April '05. It works great, but it's slow. Slow as in, when your ready to take a second shot, you have to wait about 20 seconds for it set itself up for the next shot as it stores. I bought this camera in Dubai, and have the rechargeable version. It came with it's memory stick, but I bought a 256MB card for the camera. Changing the pixel settings changes how many takes you can store. This camera takes excellent shots during the Auto setting, but if you use NIGHT.... horrible!!! Night settings if you use, you need a steady hand. The camera will takes pics that have fuzzy blurriness and light streaking. Not a good shot when the shot counts. For the shots that you can take your time with, this camera is a wonderful choice. For the person that's looking to get the shots of action, this is not a great choice.

2 out of 5 stars Battery problem   August 28, 2005

I bought this camera because it had many good features at a good price. When I got the camera and tried it out I found all the features worked pretty well as advertised. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to test because the non-rechargable battery gave out after about 20 shots and downloading these to the computer.

The camera comes with a non-rechargable CP-1 battery which is hard to find and costs $10 at Best Buy and more elsewhere. I thought maybe it was just a defective battery and bought a new one. This time I got about 25 shots and about a 5 second movie. Then the camera shut down because of "low battery." All this occurred after I had set the LCD to be off most of the time and in the dimmest mode when it was on (totally invisible outside).

The camera uses only the CP-1 battery. A rechargable version is available. Perhaps if you buy and use the re-chargable CP-1 battery and charger this camera would be satisfactory, but I just didn't want to take a chance of investing more in this camera and finding that even the re-chargable had a very short life. As it was, I was spending about $10 in batteries to get about 25-30 shots with downloading and review. At most I seemed to get about 30 minutes operation. This was not satisfactory.

Regarding the actual operation, the features seemed to work but the focus was not particularly reliable even for what I considered a basic subject centered shot.

All in all I think a lot of work went into a this camera to have it be so small and yet have so many features. Unfortunately, based on the battery situation alone I cannot recommend it. I returned the camera.

4 out of 5 stars Gran calidad en su tipo   February 26, 2005

3 out of 5 stars Great Camera, Great Photos, Great Price!   December 18, 2004

This is an amazing camera! I bought it, quite skeptically, but am so glad I did. It is small, which was one of the features I was really looking for in a camera, and light weight. It carries easily in a purse, coat pocket or around your wrist. It takes great pictures, and the resolution is amazing. The pictures come out crystal clear. The menu's are easy to follow. The features are great-- there are a variety of options when it comes to color, and size of the photo. The only thing that I don't like is the software that comes with it. It is not the best I have used. I tend to just use the software that came installed on my computer. It is easier, as you can rotate and crop pictures right there.
Over all, I rate this camera really highly and think it is a great buy for anyone!
