Works on Rebel Xsi (450D) January 7, 2009 K. Deen (Trinidad, W.I.) I bought this for the Rebel Xsi (450D). It works as it's supposed to. It feels good and secure and gives me a little more peace of mind about my camera. The only draw backs for me are that I have long fingers and this strap makes me hold the camera in a slightly different way than I would normally. I also was not able to properly use this and the neck strap at the same time but these two problems are probably applicable only to me. But all in all I think it's a good buy.
Nice surprise for under $10 January 2, 2009 S. Hochstetler I was impressed when I felt the strap for the first time. Synthetic leather and a padded underside make for a great feel for much cheaper than rival straps on the market. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone getting tired of their old neck strap and would prefer their camera held securely to their hand.
Get Strapped In December 7, 2008 Michelle P. (Spokane, WA United States) I am using this on my Nikon D300 with no problems. Easy to attach and very comfortable once on. You can adjust it so there is a free range of movement to use both wheels (too tight of a strap and using the front wheel could become an issue.)
The strap seems plenty durable and a nice feature is the ability to slip extra line into the leather pouch portion. Nice bonus if you have small hands and don't want the extra bit of strap flapping about.
It does cover your battery, but all you have to do is unscrew it from the tripod mount to reveal the battery compartment. Easy peasy.
Great buy for the money!
opteka wrist strap November 29, 2008 Timothy Jay Duduit (San Antonio, Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent product. It holds my camera securely and frees me from the strap around my neck. Good materials and fit. A winner!
Not great, but it works November 26, 2008 Jon P. Rhynard (Clayton, NJ 08312) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I bought this strap, I learned two things: 1. A hand-strap really is a must for my DSLR, and 2. This handstrap will need to be replaced.
Although it works and is reasonably well made, it isn't rigid enough to keep my hand from moving around. If I had it to do over again, I would spend more money for a strap that keeps my hand on the camera nice and stiff.
