The item pictured is not the item you will receive, it is only a stock photo. The differences, however, are only cosmetic. The charger works great (although I haven't tested the car adapter). The only reason I am not giving this a 5-star rating is because the battery does not fit snugly into the charger and will fall out when the charger is sitting vertically (as in when it is plugged into a normal socket). If the charger is sitting flat (plugged into an extension cord) or if I use a piece of tape to hold the battery in place, it works perfectly. Even taking this into account, this charger was worth buying considering the significant price savings from what the camera's manufacturer wanted to charge me.

God bless China and all her wonderful cheaply-crafted electronics that sell for a tiny fraction of their brand-name counterparts. I am the sometimes proud owner of several Sony digital cameras. Due to my penchant for purchasing Sony electronics for the past several years, I've had to purchase pricey accessories when i lose my battery charger and/or battery. I went to circuit city to look for a similar product, and they were attempting to charge me [...] for a Sony brand G-battery charger and [...] for a replacement battery. I bought this charger instead and i saved [...]. It works just as well with my G-battery as my last sony charger, at a fraction of the cost (over 80% savings). It's marvelous that a country like China is still committed to cheaply made products that work just as well as the cheaply made products from other countries but sell for way cheaper.

I lost my charger on vacation. My kids were graduating and needed one badly. I didn't want to go though Sony and pay and arm and a leg. This was great
