Product Description This .25x fisheye lens achieves extremely wide angles of view by foregoing a rectilinear image to give fisheye images their characteristic convex appearance. Dont confuse this .25X quality Precision Design optic with.42X/.45X... Panoramic...Super Wide Angle... Semi Fisheye...Titanium... Crystal Optics type lenses whose rear elements unscrew to be used as macro lenses. They can not even approach delivering a high quality 180 degree field of view. The all glass high resolution optics of the Precision Design .25x Super Fish Eye is manufactured in Japan and have been engineered to do one thing and do it well; reduce the focal length of a lens by .25X to provide an amazing fish eye view. Depending on the camera model and lens its mounted upon, the image can cover the entire frame edge to edge or provide a circular image fully contained within the frame. Mounted to a zoom lens, the Precision Design .25X can often offer ultra wide angle, diagonal fisheye (full frame) and circular fisheye images. Close focusing is almost to the front of the optic and theres huge depth of field. The .25X can be a great tool for real estate agents or for just having fun! If you plan on doing panoramic or full room shots, just stand your tripod in a corner facing the center of a room. It can capture almost EVERYTHING, floor to ceiling, wall to wall, except what is directly behind the camera. Just import the resulting image into a panoramic editor/ stitching program (your digital camera probably came with one), convert it to a QuickTime VR file, and have a virtual view of the room. The Precision Design .25X is the affordable fisheye optic for useful, unusual and fun pictures you otherwise wouldn't be able to obtain >>> WILL WORK WITH ANY LENS WITH A FILTER SIZE OF 52mm, 55mm, 58mm & 62mm (All 4 rings included) which includes most Nikon, Canon, Minolta Maxxum / Sony Alpha, Pentax, Tamron, Sigma, Tokina and other Major brands lenses

Awesome!! November 16, 2008 N. Meibos (UT, USA) I was so thrilled to find this affordable fish eye lens for my sony alpha! its a blast!! Its easy to mount on lenses. Some may call it a toy... and it is but a really fun one that captures the world around you in all sorts of new ways. i just think of it as a different brush to paint with. I couldn't be happier with it!! I whole heartedly recommend this product for anyone with a love of photography.
So far so good for the price. September 23, 2008 L. Woods (South Carolina) Of course you think- awesome a great affect for my photos at a low price. First thing I did was pop out my lens that would attach to this fisheye. Problem was it is super zoom and didn't produce any type of fish eye function. I was just going to pack it in the box to return when a little light bulb went off to try it with a much smaller zoom range- sadly I don't have one... I only have a super wide lens that wouldn't attach even with the adapter rings provided. So I had to take a little drive to a fellow photographers house and we attached it to her kit lens and it is awesome. I only took 2 photos and you do get a awesome fisheye affect. I will be shooting 2 or 3 shots at a wedding this weekend so I will leave a different comment after actually using it more. So order it if you want a fun little toy to add to your camera collection- bad thing for me I had to order another lens to be able to use it.
It's good for the price! September 6, 2008 M. Gray I can't really complain about it, it's good for the price. You will get a 180 degree with it, but it doesn't have an attachment for filters. It's a good lenses for the fish eye effect.
Creates Beautiful Pictures November 12, 2007 L. Evans (Southeastern PA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this lens! It takes beautiful wide angle "Fish eye" pictures. It's amazing just how "wide" of a picture it can produce. I used it at the World War II Memorial in Washington DC and it took absolutely gorgeous pictures. If you are looking for a great Fish Eye lens - this is it, and the price is just right too!
I did the expedited shipping and had it the next day, too. Great service!
Disappointing November 7, 2007 A. Segura 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
I got this lens so I could take some fisheye sunset/landscape shots, but the low quality of the glass makes me wish I hadn't. Any shots including the sun reflect (no pun intended) the low quality of the glass (speckles, etc). Yes, I cleaned it. Yes, I keep the caps on it until I'm ready to use it. First time out in the field I was so disappointed I haven't put it back on my camera yet. I suppose it's decent for indoor shots, but you'll need plenty of light.
